For teachers and students

Teach packaging design on real dielines, folded in 3D

Students draw on a true-size dieline and watch the box fold as they work, then meet what a print shop needs: CMYK, bleed, ink limit, cut and fold lines. It runs in the browser on any school computer. Free to start.

How it goes

1Set the briefName a structure and a size; each student enters it and gets the same die and 3D model in a minute.
2Design on the dieText, images and logos go straight onto each face of the dieline, at its real size.
3See it foldThe 3D box follows every stroke, so students see why a panel sits upside down or a flap covers the logo.
4Check before printPreflight flags text near the cut, low-resolution images and too much ink — the mistakes a print shop sends back.
5Review by linkA student sends a review link; the teacher spins the 3D, pins comments on the pictures and presses Approve. The teacher needs no account.

Questions

Is Drint free for students and teachers?

The Free plan costs nothing: dies, design on the die, live 3D and preflight are unlimited, with 100 MB of cloud space per account. Downloading die files and exporting the CMYK print PDF need Pro.

Is there a school or class plan?

Not yet. If you teach a class, write to support@drint.io with what you teach and how many students.

How do students hand in work?

By review link: the teacher opens it, spins the 3D, pins comments and presses Approve. A Free account has one review link open at a time; Pro has no limit.

Does everyone need an account?

Each student needs a free account to save work. A teacher who only reviews a link does not.

Which browsers and computers work?

Chrome, Edge or Safari on any computer; nothing to install.

Do students keep their work?

Yes. Projects stay in the student’s own account, and finished work can go on their public page at drint.io/their-name.
