The packaging design workflow in one browser tab

For designers at agencies, brands and print shops: the structure, the artwork, the 3D proof, the client’s answer and the print file in one place, at the real size of the die.

How it goes

1StructureBoxes, bags and cartons from real dielines — tuck end, crash-lock, 1-2-3 bottom, mailer, shipping carton, rigid — with inside or outside dimensions, board and thickness.
2ArtworkText, images, logos and shapes placed straight onto each face; layers, safe area, outside and inside.
3CheckPreview the colours that will print on the board, see out-of-gamut colour, keep K100 black and brand colours exact, then run preflight.
4ReviewA 3D link the client opens on a phone; comments and approval come back into the project.
5Hand offCMYK print PDF/X-4, proof PDF, dieline files (AI / DXF / SVG / CF2), imposition and one handoff package.

What is inside

Dielines by codeFree die pages for twelve structures, named by ECMA and FEFCO code where one exists, each with the size you type.
3D that follows the artworkFold the box crease by crease, open the lid, change light and backdrop; 3D files (GLB / USDZ) open in AR on iPhone.
MockupsMore than 1,000 base models — bottles, jars, cans, boxes, bags, cartons, cups, printed garments — in 3D Studio.
Files the shop takesPDF/X-4 in CMYK by the board’s colour profile, ink limit, trapping, cut and fold lines on their own plates, and a job ticket in the title block.

Questions

Does Drint replace Illustrator?

It does the packaging part — dieline, 3D, review and print files. Open AI, PDF or PSD files, keep working on the die, and export AI, PDF and SVG when you need to.

Which dieline formats can I export?

AI, PDF, DXF, SVG and CF2 (for die-cutting machines). Downloading dieline files needs Pro; on Free you can view and check everything.

Can I send print files straight to a print shop?

Yes, to print shops on Drint, where they arrive as an order the shop can follow. Otherwise export the handoff package: a ZIP with the print PDF, dielines, mockup pictures and the job sheet.

Where are my projects stored?

In the cloud as you work, synced across your devices: 100 MB on Free, 5 GB on Pro.

What does it cost?

Free covers dies, design, 3D and preflight. Pro ($19 a month or $144 a year) adds die downloads, the CMYK print PDF and TIFF, 4K mockups, 2K video and unlimited review links. A print shop’s space has its own plan.

Can a team share one account?

No: one account is for one person. A print shop’s space can have several members, each with their own account.
