About this mockup

A folded insert is one die-cut board folded into a block that holds the goods still inside a box: a bridge with holes, a sunken pocket, steps, half-round cradles, card slots. One sheet, little or no glue, in place of foam.

How to use this mockup

  1. Pick one of the 2 ready sizes (150 × 60 × 30 to 100 × 90 × 40 mm) or type your own size.
  2. Open it in Drint on its real dieline and place your artwork on the die — bleed and folds are already drawn.
  3. Turn it in 3D to check every side, then export a picture or a video, or stage it with props and light in Drint 3D Studio.

Trade tips

  • Check the text direction on the side panels when folded: it is easy to end up upside down on a flat die.
  • Run the artwork 3 mm past the cut line and keep text 3 mm inside it.
  • Ivory board prints best on its coated face; keep the uncoated inside to one colour.
  • Design straight on the die at your size: cut, crease and bleed are already drawn, so the printer can work from your file.

Questions

Is the upright slot-together block mockup free?

Yes. Turning it in 3D, setting your own size and designing on it are free in the browser, and commercial and client work is allowed. On the Free plan 3D mockups carry a Drint watermark grid and pictures export at 1K; Pro removes the watermark and adds 4K pictures and 2K video.
